Former Montreal Mayor Michael Applebaum, who paved his way into the Mayor’s office on an anti-corruption platform has been found guilty on 8 out of 14 corruption charges. He was found not guilty on two charges and four were suspended. The verdict came down late Thursday afternoon after the proceedings were delayed due to Applebaum fainting in the courtroom.
Applebaum will be sentenced on February 20th.
