This is October 7 without filters.
This is Jewish blood on the floor.
This is the Tassa family destroyed.

The video released by Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu is almost unbearable to watch. It shows the massacre of the Tassa family on October 7, one of nearly 1,200 Jewish families murdered, mutilated, and destroyed that day by Hamas terrorists.

In the clip, Gil Tassa, a firefighter and father, sacrifices himself to save his children. When a grenade is hurled into their home, he throws himself onto it. The blast obliterates him instantly, leaving the room in ruins. His death spares his sons, but the images that follow are devastating.

Koren, only twelve years old, is seen bleeding heavily, his face torn open by shrapnel. Beside him is eight-year-old Shay, drenched in blood, his small body twisted and broken, one of his eyes destroyed forever. The boys are alive, but barely.

The horror deepens as the footage shows the terrorists casually wandering the Tassa home. One of them opens the refrigerator, pulls out a bottle, and mocks the children by asking if it contains juice or wine. He then switches bottles, sneering at his victims, and drinks while their father lies dead and his sons bleed just a few feet away. It is not only murder. It is mockery, cruelty, and sadism recorded for the world to see.

The clip ends before showing the fate of the Tassa family’s eldest son, Or. At seventeen, he was dragged to a beach and executed with six bullets to the head. Hamas filmed and live-streamed his murder, turning the killing of a Jewish teenager into spectacle. It is not in this video, but it is part of the same story: a family annihilated by terrorists who wanted the world to watch.

Sabeen Tassa, the mother who lost her husband and son that day, stood before the United Nations nearly a year later, in September 2024, to testify. She told diplomats about her children’s blood, about her husband’s sacrifice, about the horror. She showed them this video. Her message was unflinching. “Stop blaming us,” she told the world. Her testimony was not politics. It was the cry of a survivor demanding recognition of reality.

The massacre of the Tassa family was one of hundreds of atrocities committed on October 7. Nearly 1,200 Jews were murdered. Women were raped. Infants were executed. Families were burned alive. Whole communities were erased. And it was not hidden. Hamas filmed the slaughter themselves, proudly broadcasting their crimes to the world. The evidence was available from the very first hours of the massacre.

And yet Canada’s government chose betrayal. On July 30, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that Canada would recognize a Palestinian State in September. His Liberal government made this decision long after October 7, long after Canadian officials had seen the evidence, long after the world already knew the scale of the slaughter. They chose recognition not in ignorance but in full knowledge of what Hamas had done.

Carney’s Liberals claim this is diplomacy. It is not. It is complicity. It is a message to Jewish families that their blood does not matter, that murder and rape and livestreamed executions can be overlooked in the name of politics.

Even more shameful is the silence of the Jewish MPs within the Liberal caucus. They know their community’s pain. They have seen the same footage. They heard Sabeen Tassa at the UN. They campaigned as defenders of Israel and the Jewish people. And yet, when their party chose to reward Hamas with recognition, they stayed. They did not resign. They did not protest. Their silence gave cover to betrayal.

The cultural establishment behaved no better. The Toronto International Film Festival attempted to bury the October 7 documentary while giving space to Gaza propaganda. Only public outrage forced them to reverse their decision. Their instinct, like the government’s, was not to confront the truth but to erase it.

But truth cannot be erased. The Tassa video, among thousands of hours of murders, rapes and beheadings on October 7th exists. The blood is real. The testimony is on record. The betrayal is permanent.

The Tassa family screams the truth of October 7. And Canada, under the Carney Liberals, chose to look away.
