TIFF Yanks Oct 7 Doc to Appease Hamas

Posted on August 13, 2025 by howie
In a jaw-dropping admission that has rocked the arts world, the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has removed a documentary about Oct 7 due to copywriter concerns. Festival organizers later openly confirmed what no sane person ever thought they’d hear: the copyright to the October 7 bloodbath belongs to Hamas and only they can decide who screens it.

Festival insiders have now admitted the footage of the atrocities is the “property” of the terror group itself. Their new policy? No one can screen a film showing the massacre without “permission” from the “documenting creators” in other words, from the killers themselves.

Let that sink in. TIFF has effectively declared that if you want to show the horrors of October 7, you must go cap in hand to a group Canada officially lists as terrorists. It’s the cultural equivalent of asking Hitler to sign off on Auschwitz footage.

And yet this ironclad “rule” didn’t apply last year, when TIFF gleefully opened with Bibi Files by Raviv Drucker, a documentary cobbled together from material under an airtight international gag order, smuggled out of Israel in blatant violation of the law. Back then, copyright concerns vanished like popcorn at a gala.

So what’s changed? Critics say it’s simple: when global progressive politics step in, the law bends, justice vanishes, and hypocrisy takes center stage. TIFF is now accused of polishing the knife before handing it back to the killers turning a festival meant to celebrate truth and art into a propaganda stage for the very butchers it should be exposing.

The festival may have just told the world who the “creators” are. But the question remains: who will make them answer for their crimes?
