Ahed Tamimi was never the innocent child the media paraded across the world. She was trained from the start, starring in Palestinian propaganda films, her tantrums and slaps scripted for cameras to sell a lie. At 24 she has finally dropped the mask. On a YouTube podcast she admitted her fight was never against Zionism. It was always against Jews.
“Judaism means occupation,” she declared, promising to repeat it “today, tomorrow, and a million years from now.” She bragged that Palestinians are “superior to the entire world” and sneered that “the whole world needs to shut up when a Palestinian is talking.” Then she went further than ever. “I wish for a World War III. Whoever dies, dies. Drop nuclear bombs. Destroy the whole world, I don’t care.”
That is not resistance. That is antijewism at its rawest. And Canada is guilty of helping to build her into an icon.
Canadian unions like CUPE proudly marched under her image at Free Palestine rallies in Toronto and Montreal where chants of “From the river to the sea” rang out. That chant is a call to erase Jews from their homeland. On Canadian campuses she was elevated to sainthood. At Concordia University Jewish students were attacked for hosting an Israeli speaker while activists praised Tamimi as their model. At McGill she was idolized by student associations as Jewish students were hounded out of public space. At York mobs screamed for intifada with her face printed on posters. At UBC Jewish students in kippot were heckled while her name was lifted as a battle cry.
And the poison spilled into the streets. In Montreal a man in Saint Laurent erupted in broad daylight screaming at Jews that he would kill them. It was the same death cult rage Tamimi spits into microphones. It was not random. It was her ideology made flesh in Canadian neighborhoods.
The violence tells the story. Synagogues firebombed in Montreal. Jewish schools shot up in Toronto in the middle of the night. A Jewish father beaten bloody in the street. Threats screamed in our neighborhoods. Every one of these is fuelled by the same ideology Tamimi embodies and Canada has normalized under the cover of human rights.
Her enablers are everywhere. Amnesty International. Human Rights Watch. CUPE. The European Parliament. Canadian politicians like NDP MPs Alexandre Boulerice and Matthew Green who praised her as courageous. Liberal MPs who stood in silence while her name was chanted alongside calls for Jewish annihilation.
And the media. CBC. Radio Canada. Toronto Star. Globe and Mail. They ran glowing features about the “Palestinian Joan of Arc.” They ignored her years as a propaganda child star. They looked away from her words. They built her brand and handed her a megaphone.
Now she has used it. Ahed Tamimi has confessed exactly what she stands for. Not peace. Not freedom. Not justice. She stands for anti Jewish hate and global destruction. She celebrates annihilation. She glorifies death.
This is not just her scandal. This is partly Canada’s scandal. Be proud.
