Israel’s Ambassador to Washington Yechiel Leiter went on CNN with Jake Tapper and ripped into Hamas while blasting the lies about Israel’s war. He said the IDF could crush Hamas in days but is holding back because it refuses to become what Hamas already is a death cult built on civilians’ corpses.
“You think a country that can wipe out Iranian air defenses in seventy two hours so American bombers can level their nuclear program can’t end this war faster? Of course we can,” Leiter said. “We don’t, because no military has ever had to fight 450 miles of terror tunnels under a strip only twenty four miles long while trying not to kill innocent people.”
He didn’t soften his words about Hamas. Leiter called them “a ghoulish, fiendish death cult.” They don’t just hide behind civilians. They take pride in it. They print it. They preach it. “They enjoy it,” he said. “Read their own writings. They glorify death.”
Then came the most personal blow. Leiter’s son Moshe was killed at the start of the war. “My son died because we don’t kill civilians. He went in on foot, leading his men, and Hamas blew him up in a booby trap. That is the price of our restraint.”
Leiter then made it brutal. “If we fought the way the world accuses us of fighting, maybe he’d be alive. Maybe dozens of our soldiers would be alive. But we are not Hamas. We do not butcher innocents.”
As for the protests making headlines, Leiter fired back. “You only show half the demonstrations. The other half are families of soldiers demanding that the Prime Minister finish Hamas, because if Hamas survives we are right back to October 6th.”
